Deccan Odyssey is a special luxury train that is designed to provide royal tour in the regions of Maharashtra and Goa. This train is a joint venture between the Tourism Department of Maharashtra, MTDC (Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation), and the Indian Railways.
The onboard services are handled by a team of professionals from the Taj Group of Hotels. On the other hand, the off-board sightseeing and logistics are managed by MTDC.
The itinerary of these luxury trains makes you travel through Mumbai to Sindhudurg, Goa, Kolhapur, Daulatabad, Ajanta Caves, Nashik, and disembark at Mumbai.
The train has 11 coaches for the accommodation of guests out of the 21 luxuriously appointed coaches. The elements like theme decoration in the cabins, 4 twin-bedded cabins, CD/MP3 player, cabins with attached bathrooms, and services for disabled guests are also available to make the journey blissful for the passengers.
