Deccan Odyssey continues its legacy of being one of the best luxury trains in the world. At the World Travel Awards 2017, Deccan Odyssey wins the title of Asia’s leading train for the seventh time. The prestigious accolade was presented on 4th June 2017, at the Grand Kempinski Hotel in Shanghai, China in a glitzy ceremony. It is also the fourth consecutive time that the Deccan Odyssey gets this honor. The other nominees for the award were Eastern & Oriental Express, Maharajas’ Express, Palace on Wheels, and The Golden Chariot.

The royal train, Deccan Odyssey is one of the fantastic experiences which recreates the way royalty used to travel in the past. The bejeweled train offers all the pleasures fit for royalty with an itemized itinerary traversing across royal states, monuments, vivid history, and culture. The magnificent journeys offered are Maharashtra Splendor, Maharashtra Wild Trail, Hidden Treasures of Gujarat, Jewels of the Deccan, Indian Odyssey, and Indian Sojourn. The luxury train has recently undergone refurbishment before its services resume in October this year.

The award ceremony serves to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.
