Karnataka’s Tourism Department has made an announcement regarding special summer trip on-board the Golden Chariot, one of India’s luxury trains.  This summer special trip of 2 nights and one day, has tour packages for every weekend, from April to June. Now get ready to enjoy a luxury rail journey at affordable rates.

The offer has been made to attract family travelers to have a fun-filled journey on-board this luxury train. As per the package, the Golden Chariot will start its journey on Friday (31st March) from Bangalore and will back Sunday (2nd April) morning. While one train will go to Mysuru, the other will be going to Hampi.

The aim of this offer is not only to offer an affordable journey on this luxury train but also offer the tourists a chance to visit and explore the magnificent historical structures at Mysuru and Hampi.

During the Mysuru Trip, the tourists will visit popular attractions like Brindavan Gardens or Lalit Mahal Palace, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Amba Vilas Palace, Srirangapatna and Jayalakshmi Vilas Palace.

Similarly, during the Hampi Trip, one will visit attractions like Tungabhadra river sunset view, Vijaya Vittala Temple Complex, Hazara Rama Temple, Elephant Stables, Hemakuta Hill, Marvel Stone Chariot, Queen’s Bath and Lotus Mahal Royal enclosure, and Virupaksha Temple.

Tour packages for the tourists will cost INR 30,000 per person that will be including accommodation, food, entry fees, fee of the guide, guided sightseeing as well as cultural programs.

This affordable and discounted tariff will be levied only during the summer vacation. The food that will be served to the tourists will be of his choice and will comprise of a vast variety of dishes.

Golden Chariot is the first and the sole luxury train of Peninsular India and Karnataka. This train has 44 well-equipped, luxurious cabins that come with all kinds of modern comforts including attached plush bathrooms, LCD TV with satellite connection, round the clock attendant and so on.

For dining, there are 2 restaurants, serving lip-smacking delicacies of Indian and Continental fares. Other contemporary comforts on-board this train are a Spa, a gym, a steam room, an equipped business center among a number of other facilities.
