Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), managing one of the Indian luxury trains, the Deccan Odyssey, along with Indian Railways has announced a discount of 25% on the next journey of this train which will commence on January 30th and will return on February 6th.
According to the officials of MTDC, only 5 percent of the revenue of the train, which is extremely popular amongst German and French travelers, comes from Indian travelers.
Marketing manager of MTDC Sanjay Dhekane said, “Such huge discounts will surely attract a section of Indian travelers towards a luxurious train journey”.
The journey will start from the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai and will be concluding at the same place. During the journey, you will get a chance to visit some amazing destinations of the country, Sindhudurg, Goa-Vasco, Kolhapur, Aurangabad and Nashik. Mornings will be for sightseeing and other activities while the journey will be covered during the night.
The Deccan Odyssey, which took its maiden journey in 2005, has 12 well-appointed cabins, laden with every modern luxury. Along with this, there is a sitting lounge, 2 multi-cuisine restaurants, a bar, a spa and a conference car.
