Thanks for sharing such an informative blog, Neelam! After hearing so many wonderful things, I finally jumped on the opportunity to visit Shimla last June, and I was absolutely blown away! These photos really capture the timeless beauty of this place, I mean the first image of the Spa and wildflower looks like a painting….
Views like this are a commonplace in Shimla, and I can honestly say I’ve never experienced anything quite so magical.
As far as accommodation goes, there are a number of great hotels and resorts available to choose from. However, after a lot of research and much deliberation, I decided on Karma Royal Himalayan…and I can’t say I was disappointed in the slightest. Surrounded by dense forests of Himalayan cedar trees, this intimate boutique resort offers the perfect place in which to both relax, as well as immerse one’s self in the Indian culture. My room was beautiful, with a private balcony and outstanding views. The resort itself also had a gym and library, which I took full advantage of between exploring. To top it off, their in-house restaurant was excellent, I’ve never tasted anything so authentically-prepared.
A true cultural delight.

I have been to Shimla once in my life and I tell you that this hill station is wonderful and exquisite and I cannot wait to visit it again. You have shared many beautiful resorts and these are stunning. During my trip to Shimla I stayed at Karma Royal Shimla. The resort is near to famous Naldehra Golf Club surrounded by a thick mane of Himalayan cedar. The resort is in the peaceful village of Baldeyan, just 25km from Shimla, the historic capital of Himachal Pradesh. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and spacious. The rooms were clean, tidy and luxurious. The room had a private balcony with gorgeous views across the valley. The hotel also offers delicious food, wifi facility, spa and games. Really, I had a ball there
