The Golden Chariot is the luxurious carriage that provides comfortable and royal travel experience, enjoyed by the erstwhile Maharajas. Here is the day-wise itinerary mentioned below:

Day 1- Bangalore

The guests are welcomed in the traditional way by the train staff. Later the guests are escorted to the respective royal cabins. And soon the journey begins from Bangalore to other decided destinations.
There also is an alternate plan for the day 1. This is completely optional. If time and energy permits, you may enjoy visits to various attractions of Bangalore.  Some of the major tourist attractions are Tippu’s Palace,     Lalbag, and Bull Temple. Apart from this, you may also explore the markets and buy some unique artifacts as souvenirs.

Day 2 – Kabini/Bandipur

Kabini – A World of Wildlife
Early morning, breakfast will be served onboard and thereafter get ready to explore the exotic flora and fauna at Bandipur National Park. After excursion, reach Kabini to enjoy a delicious lunch at the Jungle resort. Thereafter, enjoy jeep safari in the park. Dinner and an overnight stay will be in the Jungle resort.

Day 3 – Mysore

Mysore – A World of Royalty
Early morning the journey continues onboard towards Mysore. Guests will be provided Lunch en-route. In the afternoon, the train reaches Mysore. On arrival, detrain to enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit Srirangapatna and Brindavan Gardens are also included in the list of activities to be done in Mysore.

Excursion to the Lalitha Mahal Palace is also a major highlight of the day. Sumptuous dinner will be served here for the guests and cultural performances will also be organized for entertainment. Later get back to the train to continue the journey and reach the next destination.

Day 4 – Hassan

Hassan is the next destination. This travel destination is popular for religious overtones. On this day, the to-do list includes visit to Shravanbelagola and later to Halebid and Belur. Return to the railway station to continue the journey onboard luxury Golden Chariot.

Day 5 – Hospet

Hampi – A World Heritage Site
The train runs overnight and reached Hospet in the morning. This day is to be dedicated to sightseeing in Hospet. Visit to Virupaksha Temple, the Elephants’ Stables, and the local crafts bazaar are some of the highlights of the day.
During the remaining hours, visit to the attractions of  Hampi – A World Heritage Site like the Hazara Rama Temple, the Royal Enclosure, and the Vittala Temple is also part of the day’s activities. Thereafter, the guests board the train to continue the journey to the next destination.

Day 6 – Badami

Breakfast is provided onboard and the train reaches Badami early in the morning. The Badami Caves and Pattadakal are some of the attractions that make the town popular and worth visiting. After sightseeing, the guests proceed to the final destination, Goa, onboard.

Day 7 – Goa

The seventh day of the itinerary is dedicated to be spent in Goa. The excursion begins with visit to local churches and the Sola Souto Maior (Old Portuguese House).

Tea and cookies are served to the guests. The guests also enjoy the sumptuous Goan lunch. Thereafter, board the train to head back to Bangalore and end the luxury sojourn of the week.
